EMBARGO

LIVING ACCOMMODATION
that is me in front of my shack, a one room (outer diamensions 4mtr x 3mtr ) “apartment” with a single brick wall 4'' thick and one door and a small window. I have spent around 100,000 INR on this structure - that is a huge sum by my standards.

this is where I have been living for the lasts six months; life is miserable with no space even to turn around. the floor is earthen and the walls bare brick with the joints not even pointed and spilling cement on you; but beggars cannot be choosers. of course, things have improved since I moved in in june 2011. a varandah was added later on and the additional space made available that way is a real boon under the circumstances - I got the verandah cemented recently - that is a couple of weeks back.

The basic idea of building the shack was to tide over the period till the construction of the cloister was finished. After that it is not going to be of any use to me. however I do not intent to dismantle it for the amount that I can recover that way will be only a fraction of what has been spent - so rather let it be.

I would have loved to live in a proper house with at least minimum comforts, in a civilised way. and my experience is that one can easily manage a house on rental in thiruvananthapuram for 3000 INR per month. with the amount spent on the shack i could have stayed in a rented house with all facilities for more than two years and if at all the cloister was being constructed it would not by any standard taken that long.

so where was the need for this  extremely expensive and rather wasteful construction ?  by the way one of the strategies of my admirers over here is to exhaust all my money by hook or crook and make me a beggar - more about it in an ensuing blog.

I have accumulated a few things over a life time and all were, and still are, lying helter skelter in the open – they used to occupy a rather big house mostly two bed room types and obviously cannot be contained in the one room I have where I have to find sleeping space as well. The elements have done their share of damage and many of my things have been irreparably damaged or destroyed. this loss could also have not happened if I had got a house to stay.

then why the shack ?
and not a proper rented house !
well; It is not because there are no houses for rental available in thiruvananthpuram any more
The real reason is
the embargo
put in effect by the indian secret police;
the plain clothes thugs put “on duty” by the government
to force me to change my ways!
no one would dare hire out their house to me
even if i pay them five thousand per month.

the Shack however, has its own positive points
i must say
first and foremost i got out of that "killing ground" i have been taken to in aluva, alive!
and for another thing, i am saving a few thousands on monthly rent (the four thousand i was paying for the "net" in kzh was the highest i have ever paid and in trivandrum it was mostly around 3000 per month) - a big relief for a fellow of my financial status
and together they make putting up with all the physical discomforts of my stay in the shack  worth the while.

EKING OUT A LIVING
my sole source of income now a days is my pension which comes to 6500 INR  per month - that is exactly half of what an unskilled labourer can earn as wages in a month. I matriculated in the first class (  I was the best out going student of my school that year ), I have a first class degree in life sciences ( there again I stood first in my class ); and in deed, I do have a degree in medicine. still I have been without a regular income for the last six years.

the reason ?  ditto !
again, it is not that I am particular that I will take up only a particular type of job or
any such thing.
and here as well, the reason is
the embargo
being enforced by the indian gestapo it is a plainclothes policeman who calls himself cbi “officer” and his stooges from other spy networks of the government like the so called “special” (? pakkichi ) branch of the local policemotto “you show me the man; we will find the crime ).

an interesting anomaly is that every one of the dozens of plain clothes thugs put on duty of “looking after” me, is  drawing a salary at least four times my monthly income for the “duty” hse is  performing. of course when “national security” is involved money spent cannot be allowed to cramp the style of the “officer” police.

And for that matter the “nunna sekharans” are doing an excellent job effectively preventing me from eking out a living, ensuring that my communications lines are intercepted and tampered with 24 x 7 and that I am denied all human company.

the local "gentry" the self-styled "intelligentsia" are enjoying the spectacle and joining in, jeering, gesturing, commentingthe indignation of the "righteous" !

MY ULTERIOR MOTIVES
I, for one, am not exactly enjoying the drama. I have ulterior motives - I am a “disorderly” person.

I am convinced there are enough rules in the law books to take care of this sort of situation – the party will be over in a jiffy, just like that and that wont be in the interests of the “eeeMans” ( eeeMan meaning “master” is the term ordinary mortals are supposed to use to address the “gentlemen”; for example “esSsai eeeMan” ). the eeeMans are acutely aware of the fact – that is why they never come out into the open  and strictly restrict themselves  to covert operations.
the job is entrusted to the secret police and not the regular police. these characters operate through proxy. my information is that every spy can appoint three locals as his kundans. the amount to be paid to these catamites is another source of income for the pakkichi police – their funds are not audited. the long and short of it is that once you get into the pakkichi police you can have a rollicking time; no risks involved.

all that is visible outside is the pBirds which announces to habitual offenders ( pullikall) like me by its frequent shrieks that the gestapo is in the near vicinity - the locals are told these are migratory birds.

that way the gestapo ensures that hse does not leave any trails and one has a problem there – a court will need evidence. well; thanks to the re-assurances of the intellectual giants of thiruvananthapuram, the spies have taken me for granted and in turn this has resulted in tell tale evidence landing up in my hands.

obviously there has to be records for these sort of activities, and  whether you call it "protection" duty or harassment duty is immaterial even the indian gestapo cannot afford to deny what is going on on ground in an affidavit filed before a court of law. and that way the very admission of my petition in a court of law will sound the death knell of this indian edition of the gestapo( it is a plainclothes policeman who calls himself cbi “officer” and his stooges from other spy networks of the government like the so called “special” (? pakkichi ) branch of the local police.  motto “you show me the man; we will find the crime” )

The result is that decisions in my case are being forced to be made in the privacy of the chamber without hearing me - that is injustice and not justice.

all the same, I have not given up hope; the final word has not yet been said and rest assured I am going to try again. all that i require is a hearing in an open court - that is not too much of an askand yes, I have to hurry

could be this time I might find some one bold enough to take on the might of the indian secret police !
 – be on the look out for epoch making events.
see Yaaa . . . ….

and rest assured mr. spy ,

gun fodder
this disorderly person is going to make you look
a real bloody “Orderly”.
